A new player joins with a realistic-looking name, but it’s clearly meant to mock a real-world tragedy or group. They claim it’s “just dark humor.” As staff, how do you handle this and why? Ask them to change it because with the people that are in there and the different variety of cultures, it can be someone’s family which could be tos

During a robbery scene, a player messages another outside the game to warn them what’s about to happen. The scene continues normally. As staff reviewing the report, what concerns you most and how do you handle it? That they are Meta gaming, and using information that their character do not know or the other character do not know endgame to get an advantage

A player walks away from an active RP situation without saying anything and later claims, “My character wouldn’t care.” How do you judge whether this was valid character choice or roleplay avoidance? I would ask them what was the scene about and what caused him to walk away? Did he ever give you a reason to walk away or did you not speak because if you do not speak, that’s failure to rp

You notice a rule issue developing within a scene. How would you go about what your seeing in the scene? Depends on what rule it is will be depending on how I handle it being broken for example, if it’s just failure to RP, I would chime in and just tell them that that is not an option to do because if they’re not trying to repeat, they have to leave, but if it’s our RDMin any type of way, then I would have to tell him they still have to follow through with it because they did RDM

A player repeatedly uses mechanics to gain advantages but technically follows the scripts correctly. How do you decide whether this is clever gameplay or abuse that hurts roleplay? Depends again on the situation of how they use it because if they’re using it to like keep someone from robbing them that is considered power gaming if they’re using it in some way to taught someone that is fine in certain aspects

Two players give completely different versions of a scene. Both seem confident and neither has video. How do you investigate and make a fair decision as staff? Well, if neither one has a clip, you could check the logs to see what none happened to see who died last and try to move from there, but without the clip, it’s automatically shut down you try to spectate and watch what happens after you leave but normally it’s just shut down to be fair

You notice the same player appears in multiple reports—not always guilty, but always involved in messy situations. At what point does this become a concern, and how should staff address it? After maybe the sixth one I would pull them into the side and ask them. Why is this becoming an ongoing factor and is there something that is happening on his end for people that just consistently do this? I would always ask for a video from each side of everybody and if it’s a consistent situation, I would like more than two minutes or even three depending on what is being involved?

A player takes a huge risk in a dangerous situation and loses their character as a result. They complain that it was unfair. How do you explain consequences while still being respectful and professional? I apologize, but this is a serious role-play and you have to reap what you sell. Your character is based off of a real life action to where if you die one time in real life, you would not come back therefore, as if you die one time in this game, you cannot come back the choices you have made you have to stand for.

A civilian resists police in a situation that realistically would not justify extreme actions. How do you judge whether the player acted realistically or just wanted an outcome? Depending on what the lawful stock was for or if it was just a little regular traffic stop and they were just trying to get a clip or if they were just trying to use their rights respectfully Cause it always depends on the situation if they’re trying to just genuinely go about their way then if the don’t have a good lawful reason for the stop, the officer is at fault, but if the officer had a reasonable suspicion for something and the person was not trying to follow through then it is the civilian fault

A player roleplays severe injuries during a scene but is completely fine an hour later with no explanation. How should staff handle situations like this to maintain consistency? Depending on the injury will be depending on the consequence as well in my opinion if you jumped out of a moving car, I started limping down the road to the hospital and they told you that you have a severe sprained ankle going to stay off of it and you’re up an hour later, running around shooting a gun the consequence of that I feel like we’ll start off. Will be kicked from the game for 30 minutes to an hour second one will be an hour to 1-3 hour will probably be a day band and etc. if they crash the car and everyone is out moving just fine. Everybody is getting a kick or hour ban now if they just tripped and fell from somewhere, I could see them getting up an hour later and running

You make a ruling that a player strongly disagrees with, but it’s fair and consistent. They continue arguing. How do you handle this while maintaining authority and professionalism? State that the evidence shows that they have did whatever it was that they are being reported for and if they are continuously going back-and-forth with me about it, I will just either leave the same or let them keep ranting on it until they get it out of their system

Some one in the discord makes a ticket regarding applications, how would you respond to their ticket? Depending on the application will be depending on my answer if they’re doing what I’m doing and trying to become staff send them the link to chicagorole-play.com for the fill this out if they’re doing ems and the EMS cord to make it taken as someone will be with them shortly
