A new player joins with a realistic-looking name, but it’s clearly meant to mock a real-world tragedy or group. They claim it’s “just dark humor.” As staff, how do you handle this and why? I’d ban the player for TOS because even if they see it as “dark humor” names that mock real world tragedies or groups aren’t allowed nor funny because they can make others uncomfortable when streaming and hurt the community's TOS. I’d ask them to change the name while still making them hold a temporary ban, while also enforcing a rename once there ban has been lifted.
The reason is simple: as staff, your job is to keep the space respectful and welcoming for all religions, races, and streamers not just one person’s sense of humor.
During a robbery scene, a player messages another outside the game to warn them what’s about to happen. The scene continues normally. As staff reviewing the report, what concerns you most and how do you handle it? The main concern is metagaming, but if this involves members of a faction, it also becomes a faction management issue.
As staff, I’d review the evidence and confirm what happened, then pass it up to faction management since they’re responsible for their members’ behavior. From there they can handle bans, warnings, or strikes if needed.
A player walks away from an active RP situation without saying anything and later claims, “My character wouldn’t care.” How do you judge whether this was valid character choice or roleplay avoidance? If they just walked away with no RP, it’s roleplay avoidance. If they actually showed proof why their character didn’t or wouldn't care in a situation as is, it can be valid.
I’d check proof, talk to them inside a forum, and warn if needed. The goal is keeping RP flowing, not shutting scenes down because there not going in your favor.
You notice a rule issue developing within a scene. How would you go about what your seeing in the scene? I’d observe first without interrupting to make sure I fully understand what’s happening.
If it’s minor, I’d let the scene finish, then speak to the players involved with the rule break using "/pm" after and correct them. If it’s serious or ruining the RP severely like RDM, VDM, or getting back up and fighting. I’d kick them.
A player repeatedly uses mechanics to gain advantages but technically follows the scripts correctly. How do you decide whether this is clever gameplay or abuse that hurts roleplay? If they’re just using mechanics in a smart, fair way such using cover and movement smartly in a shootout, locking doors or using game features in a realistic way during a robbery, and, escaping police with good driving, and it still feels realistic, it’s fine. But things like using items ( bandages or spam fighting ) mid fight to avoid losing, f8ing out or exploiting the emotemenu like (animpos to go underground ) to escape a situation or to avoid being robbed or arrested.
Two players give completely different versions of a scene. Both seem confident and neither has video. How do you investigate and make a fair decision as staff? I’d check both players forums, talk to both players separately, and ask if they have any witnesses with a clip or proof. If there’s still no clear proof, I’d avoid guessing and just issue a warning to always clip while active in RP and tell them how if items were lost there's no way for me to return them.
You notice the same player appears in multiple reports—not always guilty, but always involved in messy situations. At what point does this become a concern, and how should staff address it? It becomes a concern when it keeps happening over and over, even if they’re not always the one breaking rules.
At that point I’d look back at their past reports, see the pattern, and talk to them directly about what’s going on. Most of the time it’s just about helping them adjust how they handle situations.
If it doesn’t improve, then the best course of action would be to warn them with a more severe course of action next time hopefully encouraging them to make an actual difference.
It’s less about blaming them every time, and more about stopping a repeated problem because at the end of the day its just a game and we are all here to have fun.
A player takes a huge risk in a dangerous situation and loses their character as a result. They complain that it was unfair. How do you explain consequences while still being respectful and professional? I’d explain what happened step by step so it’s clear it wasn’t unfair while also responding to any concerns on how it doesn't break the rules. it's simply just RP consequences.
A civilian resists police in a situation that realistically would not justify extreme actions. How do you judge whether the player acted realistically or just wanted an outcome? I’d look at whether their resistance made sense in the situation like getting searched and I have a gun or drugs. If it feels realistic and proportional, it’s fine. If they’re clearly escalating just to force a certain outcome like running when getting pulled over just cause they in a scat and can get away then it’s not.
A player roleplays severe injuries during a scene but is completely fine an hour later with no explanation. How should staff handle situations like this to maintain consistency? Ask for proof of severity of the injury and ask for proof of medical attention. If they went from “severely injured” to fully fine with no RP explanation, that’s inconsistent RP. I’d talk to them, point it out, and have them correct it.
You make a ruling that a player strongly disagrees with, but it’s fair and consistent. They continue arguing. How do you handle this while maintaining authority and professionalism? Tbh I'm not getting pulled into a back and forth. Imma just resay the decision and the reason behind it, then tell them the ruling is final.
