A new player joins with a realistic-looking name, but it’s clearly meant to mock a real-world tragedy or group. They claim it’s “just dark humor.” As staff, how do you handle this and why? Pm them telling them they cannot use the name and warn them before granting them a name change.
During a robbery scene, a player messages another outside the game to warn them what’s about to happen. The scene continues normally. As staff reviewing the report, what concerns you most and how do you handle it? What concerns me the most is the player messaging his affiliate who is not ic yet. I handle the report by striking the player/faction for Metagaming.
A player walks away from an active RP situation without saying anything and later claims, “My character wouldn’t care.” How do you judge whether this was valid character choice or roleplay avoidance? I'm not sure right here.
You notice a rule issue developing within a scene. How would you go about what your seeing in the scene? If me personally is in this scene i would try my best to roleplay the player back into character without going ooc or breaking character.
A player repeatedly uses mechanics to gain advantages but technically follows the scripts correctly. How do you decide whether this is clever gameplay or abuse that hurts roleplay? Review with other members of the staff team/faction team and get their opinions so i can give a fair verdict.
Two players give completely different versions of a scene. Both seem confident and neither has video. How do you investigate and make a fair decision as staff? With no video i don't see how I'm supposed to give a verdict on the situation but if they both give two versions of a scene and it in someway links to one another i would just void the scene and tell them to roleplay as they were before and tell them to make sure they clip every scene next time.
You notice the same player appears in multiple reports—not always guilty, but always involved in messy situations. At what point does this become a concern, and how should staff address it? In my opinion there should be player strikes just how factions/illegal civ groups/families get strikes. The strikes will help staff monitor what players are not fit for the environment we try to display and help keep it all fair at the same time
A player takes a huge risk in a dangerous situation and loses their character as a result. They complain that it was unfair. How do you explain consequences while still being respectful and professional? If it's a life or death situation and they decide to not fear, they'll be going against server rules. I'll tell the player they will hold they're ck because of the decision they made and move on.
A civilian resists police in a situation that realistically would not justify extreme actions. How do you judge whether the player acted realistically or just wanted an outcome? Get all bodycams off PD and Pov from the civilian, bring to DOJ and it would either be roleplayed Ic court or ooc.
A player roleplays severe injuries during a scene but is completely fine an hour later with no explanation. How should staff handle situations like this to maintain consistency? Remind the player how long they should be roleplaying injuries for and warn them if they don't follow that rule they will hold a punishment for it.
You make a ruling that a player strongly disagrees with, but it’s fair and consistent. They continue arguing. How do you handle this while maintaining authority and professionalism? Tell them I'm not arguing with them and that's the verdict that was given and leave it at that.
