A new player joins with a realistic-looking name, but it’s clearly meant to mock a real-world tragedy or group. They claim it’s “just dark humor.” As staff, how do you handle this and why? Enforce the rules, communicate, and focus on creating a safe and respectful space. This protects the community, upholds standards, and ensures that humor does not come at the cost of others’ dignity. I would tell them to change the name due to it being "Dark Humor" Just to keep everything corjul and good.
During a robbery scene, a player messages another outside the game to warn them what’s about to happen. The scene continues normally. As staff reviewing the report, what concerns you most and how do you handle it? What concerns me most is that their METAGAMING and i would handle the situation by having a sit with both the players and tell them abut their actions, depending on the situation i would then give the player their consequences for the actions they have done.
A player walks away from an active RP situation without saying anything and later claims, “My character wouldn’t care.” How do you judge whether this was valid character choice or roleplay avoidance? I would judge this situation by asking them for a valid clip of the situation and them claiming “my character wouldn’t care” wont be valid if the they has previously shown interest or roleplayed in similar situations. The rules is that you must roleplay at all times so if they are walking away from a valid scene, then they have put themselves in a bad situation.
You notice a rule issue developing within a scene. How would you go about what your seeing in the scene? First i would check if the scene is proper or not, i would get both sides of the players pov that where in the scene and determine if it is valid and whether witch player broke a rule and what rule they broke. I would not interfere with the scene i would let it play out then i would have my sit with the players and determine what should happen.
A player repeatedly uses mechanics to gain advantages but technically follows the scripts correctly. How do you decide whether this is clever gameplay or abuse that hurts roleplay? I would decide by seeing the mechanic he/she is using and what advantage the player is getting above others, if it is to much of an advantage and it is giving him a total advantage over other players i would stop it and they would get consequence because having an advantage over others slows down or takes away good roleplay. Having or exploiting mechanics to get an advantage is called Power gaming and the rules are NO POWER GAMING
Two players give completely different versions of a scene. Both seem confident and neither has video. How do you investigate and make a fair decision as staff? I would investigate the scene by first listening to both sides of the story and being totally fair with both parties, i would ask both for video footage because people are always suppose to have their eyes on, if neither has video then i would void the scene and tell both players to go over the rules of the server, to always have their eyes on next time and then dissmiss them.
You notice the same player appears in multiple reports—not always guilty, but always involved in messy situations. At what point does this become a concern, and how should staff address it? It would become a concern if the player is always in NEGATIVE SITUATIONS, i would address the player by first asking why are they always in these type of situations, i would first try to make sense out of the situation on who the player is and how the player goes by server rules. Then i would go to an higherup and ask what should be the consequences for the player or i would give them a timeout to take time to cool off and take that as a lesson to stay out of negative things and time to go over the servers rules.
A player takes a huge risk in a dangerous situation and loses their character as a result. They complain that it was unfair. How do you explain consequences while still being respectful and professional? I would explain the consequences by first stating the rules to the player, then i would explain to them that they put themselves in that type of situation and it was nobody else's choice, i would then tell the player that if he thinks it was unfair then he/she could make an appeal to appeal the ck or however they lost their character.
A civilian resists police in a situation that realistically would not justify extreme actions. How do you judge whether the player acted realistically or just wanted an outcome? I would judge whether they acted realistically by first asking for the clip of the scene (both parties) then i would determine the actions of the player and the situation the player was in when the scene was going on. If the player did not have a life ending consequence or where any type of fear of for life then the player should have no reason to resist law enforcement, their are many different ways to expand the roleplay with police. Officers deserves their Roleplay to.
A player roleplays severe injuries during a scene but is completely fine an hour later with no explanation. How should staff handle situations like this to maintain consistency? Staff should handle this by first asking the player why aren't they roleplaying their injuries and ask what injury did they have. Players should always roleplay any of their injuries just as if in real life, to if the player injuries is life threatning, critical, or just minor. I would then give the player a warning and tell them to read over the rules before returning to roleplay.
You make a ruling that a player strongly disagrees with, but it’s fair and consistent. They continue arguing. How do you handle this while maintaining authority and professionalism? I would handle it by first always being respectful, I would tell the player that if there is a problem then they could go to staff support or any type of support to state something they dont like. I would tell them to go make suggestions in the forums or in the discord, I would not argue with any players i would consist on being respectful and i would tell the player have a good day.
Some one in the discord makes a ticket regarding applications, how would you respond to their ticket? I would tell them whether staff applications are open or not, i would send the player the forums and then tell them to go to the staff applications, i would remain professional and then make sure the ticket is Good to Close.
